It’s no news that Kunle Afolayan, CEO Golden Effects has recorded another feet with his earth shaking movie, The CEO, the movie was recently premiered in a special but yet to be equalled style by any other in the industry.
Golden Effects Pictures, the creators of multi-award winning films of outstanding stature like THE FIGURINE (ARAROMIRE), PHONE SWAP and OCTOBER 1 delved yet again into a never before experienced AIRBORNE PREMIERE of its latest film, THE C.E.O aboard a dedicated AIR FRANCE AF149 flight to Paris on the 1st of June 2016.
Thirty seven thousand feet above sea level, the film was screened for the very first time to enthused guests of distinguished standings from across the globe to a roaring applause and sustained wonder. Prior to this, there was a red carpet event at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport at around 4pm where there was a titillating build-up to the series of events that followed.
The international airport was agog with the markings of a soon to be experienced enchantment, both physically as well as in the spirit and air of this evening with its seizing splendour.
With the support of FAAN, directions and indications that would lead the invited guests to varying and rallying points where predesigned festivities which would sustain suspense towards the main event were visible and rather helpful for the fine personages who were bound to fly on the dedicated aircraft to the city of love, adorned by changing marvels, Paris.
At the departure lounge there was an eclectic juxtaposition of fine drinks, food, banter, music and interviews, and an illuminating presence of collective anticipation. This was closed by a remarkable speech by the Producer/Director of the film Mr Kunle Afolayan, alongside the General Manager of AIR FRANCE, Mr Jean Raoul, after which the guests marched excitedly down the tunnel to settle comfortably into their respective seats to see this remarkable piece of proud African cinema.
Set mainly on a beautiful beach resort on the outskirt of Lagos, Nigeria. “The C.E.O” is a mystery thriller surrounding five top Executives from across Africa who are dispatched on a one week leadership retreat by a multi-national telecommunication firm to determine whom to appoint as the firm’s new C.E.O. Suddenly, one of the executives dies a mysterious death, then another. Panic flares within the camp, as the remaining candidates grapple with staying focused on the target of becoming THE C.E.O. as well as the dark mystery of a possible sequential death that hovers around the camp.
