Media communications outfit, (O’King) Media, has announced the unveiling of a 58-second advocacy campaign, aimed at preaching peace, love and tolerance among the nation’s different ethnic nationalities.
Unveiling the campaign in Lagos, the company’s Chief Planning Officer, Mr. Dapo Olorunto, explained that the campaign, tagged Nigeria Loves You had become imperative, going by the present tension in the country, occasioned by hate speeches and mutual distrust, among her ethnic nationalities.
Olorunto noted, with regrets, the huge volume of mutual suspicion, between the nation’s ethnic nationalities today, arguing that unless something urgent was done to calm frayed nerves, the country might not achieve the much-needed economic and technology advancements.
He described the 58 -second campaign, tagged Nigeria Loves You, and put together by the organization, as the outfit’s little contribution towards engendering peace in the country.
“Nigeria has never, in recent times, witnessed such amount of hate speeches and mutual disaffection, we are presently seeing in the land. This is definitely not good for the health of the country; since it heightens tension and retard the country’s socio-economic growth.
“Our hope is that the Nigeria Loves You campaign would appeal to the sensibilities of Nigerians; since it is meant to see the positives in living in this country and being Nigerians,” he stated.
According to him, the outfit would employ the 360 degree marketing approach, with special concentration on social media and electronics, to push home the message.
While insisting that the outfit is apolitical, the O’King Media boss however argued that what the nation needed at this time is for critical stakeholders to come together, in order to douse the tension in the country.
