TG Expo, an international trade fair organizer, will host the first ever Machinery Metal & Steel Exhibition to the industry professionals and government officials in Nigeria at the Expo Center of the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos from the 18th to the 20th of October 2017.

The 3-day event will showcase products like pipes, tubes, wire, cables, sheet metal, environment protection, energy conservation, foundry, casting, filtration and separation, nano-technologies, induction furnace and heat treatment, safety equipment and technology and smelting and refining in the industrial products industry to name a few.

MMS Nigeria is the only exhibition exclusive to metals, machinery and steel, to be held in Lagos, the business and trade capital of Nigeria. The fair hopes to attract manufacturers and suppliers, machinery and technology professionals, equipment and technology professionals and technology services experts.

Base metals and metal products will be showcased at the exhibition as they are mainly used by oil and construction industry, where both the Nigerian government and private sector are heavily investing in.

Being a member state of ECOWAS, Nigeria acts as a trade gateway to other West African states. Nigeria, with its 1.1 Trillion USD GDP (PPP) and population of 186 million is the largest economy in Africa and due to recovering oil prices, Nigeria is expected to record positive growth rate in 2017.

A report of the Central Bank of Nigeria shows that Nigeria currently imports steel, aluminum products and associated derivatives of approximately 25 metric tones per annum from advanced countries estimated at $4.5bn.

In 2015, Nigeria imported 4.5 Billion USD worth of iron and steel goods. This makes the country 52nd largest importer in the world with machinery and metal & metal products as its major imports. Nigeria’s major aluminum imports include aluminum plates, profiles, structures, bars and doors, windows and their frames & thresholds. These product groups account for 18% of Nigeria’s entire imports.

Nigeria is a net importer of machinery as its imports in 2015 amounted to 4.52 billion USD. 11.1% of Nigeria’s aggregate imports in 2015 were machinery imports.  Nigeria’s top machinery imports include taps, cocks, valves and similar appliances for pipes, boiler shells, tanks used in oil industry, machines and mechanical appliances having individual functions and pumps for liquids, whether or not fitted with a measuring device.

TG Expo was founded in 2008 with ‘Think Global’ insight. The company brings together leading exporters with their target markets to do business. TG Expo enables exporter companies to communicate, do business and experience new markets.

As of today, TG Expo Group has organized exhibitions in France, United Kingdom, USA, Australia, India, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Nigeria and South Africa.

The exhibitions have been in industries like healthcare, medical equipment, electricity, design, furniture and marble sectors.

TG Expo Group is accredited by the Turkish Ministry of Economy. TG Expo Group supports export companies to grow their attempts and business development processes which contribute to national and international economy. TG Expo has since inception provided an opportunity for more than 1000 export companies to penetrate into their target markets.
