Leading telecommunications company, MTN Nigeria and one of the largest financial institutions in the whole of West Africa, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) have pledged their support for Markcom Students Forum being organised by Awesome Communications, publishers of the frontline brands marketing and communications journal, Brand Communicator.
The support by the two organisations for this year’s student’s forum is as a result of Brand Communicator’s successful organisations of the past three editions of the forum for the nation’s marketing and communications students.
This year’s Markcom Student Forum, themed: Consumer Engagement In The New Media Age which will come up on October 30, 2015 at Eko fm Multipurpose Hall, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos by 9 am will enable students to have access to current industry insights, and also afford them huge opportunities to meet prospective mentors to shape their future careers.
Speaking on the forum, Publisher of Brand Communicator, Mr. Joshua Ajayi said, “Markcom Students Forum was born out of the need to bridge the gap between the ivory tower and the marketing and communications industry. We also conceived this idea due to a need to keep students and prospective practitioners abreast of the current trends in the industry.”
He said that the forum is designed to be the foremost interactive platform for exchange of ideas between prospective practitioners and professionals in the marketing and communications industry, adding that the forum seeks to be the leading mentorship platform for young and prospective professionals intending to venture into the practice of marketing and communications field.
According to him, the Markcom Student Forum which is now in its fourth edition is an interactive platform which is absolutely free for students. He said it will also serves as a consumer engagement platform for brands engaging with their prospects and consumers using a three pronged approach.
