Vizeum has been appointed by Arla Foods, the world’s fifth largest milk manufacturer as its media agency of record following a keenly contested pitch. The appointment covers media strategy, planning and buying work for Arla in Sub Saharan African markets including Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroun and Cote D’Ivoire in the first instance with other SSA markets to be included as the brand launches in the respective countries.
Nigeria and Senegal were focus countries used to demonstrate capabilities during the pitch which took place over a period of one month, with the brief of launching Dano Milk in both countries.
The client made the announcement last week after an exhaustive review of the performances of all the agencies involved in the process and cited best in class strategic direction, superior planning recommendations, best cost submissions and Dentsu Aegis Network African foot print as some of the key reasons for selecting the agency.
Gbenga Orimogunje, Business Lead for Vizeum Nigeria who led his team to the pitch says ‘we are very happy to have been selected via a very rigorous process as partner for Arla Foods across sub-Saharan Africa and we are committed to helping the client’s brands grow in the region’.
The multi-million dollar account was pitched by the incumbent agency – mediaReach OMD, PHD as well as Vizeum. Transition meetings will take place over the course of December 2015 with campaigns planned to begin from the first quarter of 2016.
With over 70 offices in 49 countries globally, the Vizeum network leverages the creative power of media to connect brands and consumers to help clients’ brands grow.
In Nigeria, Vizeum is a member of Media Fuse Dentsu Aegis Network, Marketing World’s Fastest Growing Agency Network 2014 and Media Agency Network of the Year 2015. Vizeum has been renowned for giant strides since it debuted in Nigeria last year and works for global brands including MasterCard, Total, AG Mobile and a host of other clients. {fcomments}
