X3M Ideas’ House
At exactly 8:30 am today, the drizzling rains notwithstanding, staff and management of X3M Ideas gathered at the front of the new ultramodern edifice located at 23 Omodara Street in the serene area of Opebi, Lagos.
A few associates of the company also ignored the little drops of rain which is seen as a sign of blessing by the almighty God upon the new X3M House. The tedious Monday morning traffic could not deter to felicitate with the team of vibrant and obvious joyous young men and women whom the Chief Executive Officer/Chief Creative Officer, Steve Babaeko applauded as the brains behind the success story.
“One thing I want to I beg of you, is never to lose sight of what got us here in record three years – dedication, professionalism, enthusiasm, respect for the client and willingness to meet some ‘impossible’ deadlines. If these got us here in three years, then it means we could do much better in the new few years” Steve pleaded with the team as the doors of the sprawling multi-buildings complex slipped opened for business after the prayers.
Devoid of the usual noise and too many dignitaries and encomiums that accompany such feat, the event was a solemn one although the magnitude of the achievement was massive.
The President of the Association of the Advertising Agencies of Nigeria, AAAN, Mr. Kelechi Nwosu, was one of the few people who damned the rains and tedious Monday morning traffic to join the X3M team for the opening.
Mr. Nwosu in the association’s goodwill message said, “the Association is highly impressed with you and what your team is doing” directing his attention at Steve. “It tells operators the way to go and think. We rejoice with you and wish you more fulfilling operation and successes in the future”. Together we will grow the industry, he added.

Ayeni Adekunle, CEO, BHM also congratulated members of the team as a whole for being part of the dream that berthed the laudable achievement. This is a step to higher levels of accomplishments, said Ayeni while acknowledging their dedication to duties and discipline that got the team to this level of achievement within record time of three years.
The timing is indeed a record time as there has never been an agency that made such a tremendous success of moving into its own purpose built office complex within three years of operation.
Another friend of the house, Mr. Olusegun Obagbemi who had known Steve way back – 20 years ago said, I never doubted the capacity of the team and essentially Steve’s. “The first time I met him even while working for another agency, I saw in him someone that wants to do something differently. The mission has been there ever since and when he told me he was going to set up his agency about three years ago, I knew he was going to make a success of it. This is one of the testimonies. It is obvious that greater heights’ ahead. I congratulate you and your diligent team.
Adorned in the red, black and ash house colours of the X3M Ideas’ brand and complementary artworks and painting designs, the ultramodern complex is made up of three detached buildings. The first bungalow houses the first reception, the brand management office; a mini conference room, the X3M bar, the Print & production department and Research/strategy and new business section.
In between the first building and the second is the well made up Kitchen /Cafeteria for staff and associates. The second portion of the complex is a one-storey building. It boosts of another reception, a creative department, finance and human resource, the award gallery, a sick bay with a stand-by medical staff on the ground floor while the top floor accommodates another arm of the creative department while the ‘oval office’ but now in square form sits pretty.
The ergonomic chairs for all staff, the work stations, the seamless world-class office arrangement with technology, high speed internet and all the trappings of modernity nbew X3M Ideas bring back the ideas that this industry can be great and X3M Ideas the place to be. However for discipline and adherence to the rules of the game, no hiding under the radar from the ‘oval’ office. Steve monitors every movement as he maintains a bird’s eye view of all that happen in the various the departments. Physically, this is impossible within this complex but technology simplifies and makes it happen. The caveat is no hiding!
“We are happy and appreciate how thus far the Lord had helped us. It is only God. Professionalism, discipline and attention to details in our work for our clients help us a great deal as we put the clients’ business first in all we do”, Steve tells Brandcrunch.
