As the Annual General Meeting/Congress of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) is happening in the Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, Steve Babaeko, Chief Creativity Officer/CEO, X3M Ideas is out there in New York, United States of America holding high the Nigerian flag as part of Grand Jury to select this year’s International Advertising Awards for Mobile at the prestigious New York Festival.
As the only Nigerian Advertising Practitioner at the event, Babaeko on his social media pages in far away America lamented “everything is okay and going on smoothly but Nigeria is not represented in the annual advertising awards festival described as the best in the world”.
His observation notwithstanding, he is delighted that he is representing the face of Nigerian advertising and the country at large and he is doing this just well.
Steve though presently in New York, he may emerge the Publicity Secretary of his darling professional association AAAN as the 43rd congress is underway. Situations on the ground leading up to the elections tomorrow portend that Steve might just be returned unopposed. Steve is the current Assistant Publicity Secretary and Vice President of the Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (LAIF).
Here are some of Steve’s pictures at the on-going New York Festival at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, Broadway at 60th Street, New York City.
