Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Nigeria Returns with Airopay as New Sponsor in lieu of MTN
Lovers of the popular TV game show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Nigeria, WWTBM, can now heave a sigh of relief as the show is now back on air and will commence airing on Sunday, 3rd of September. The show which was formally sponsored by MTN stopped being aired as MTN pulled out of show after 13 years of partnership with Ultima Studio
In lieu of MTN, Airopay, an international e-payment digital platform has been announced as the new sponsors of the show as a partnership deal between the new sponsor and Ultima studio has been signed.
While commenting on the new development, Femi Ayeni, Managing Director of Ultima Studios, expressed delight over the partnership with Airoplay. He said with new sponsors on board, WWTBM will take a new shape as the prize money for the ultimate winner which was only 10 million Naira before will increase to 15 million Naira while also accommodating more participants.
Mr Femi added that with the new partnership, other mobile network subscribers will be able to participate as against the restriction to MTN subscribers only. He however said that they are still working with other networks to bring that to reality soon.
