Apple iPhone 8 Suffers Batteries Defect, May Face Recall

Reports from a few iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus buyers have suggested there could be an issue with the battery of the latest invention in the Apple range of devices.

The Apple iPhone whose costs range between $699 – $949, according to findings has a deficient battery which often swells causing the case of Apple’s new iPhone to split open and expose the smartphone’s internal components.

According to findings, Apple has confirmed the ugly development with a claim, “it is looking into it” say agency reports adding that a spokeswoman of the company declined to comment further when asked how many devices are affected.

But sources say for now the number of affected devices might be very few.

Yesterday CNET rounded up the handful of reports that have emerged — saying there are at least six different reports in at least five countries of the iPhone 8 splitting along its seams.

Reuters also noted a report in Chinese state media of an iPhone buyer claiming a new device in a place of defective one.

The  buyer named Liu said his newly purchased iPhone 8 Plus arrived cracked open on Oct. 5. And there was no sign of scorching or an explosion. He said the handset was bought through online marketplace of JD.com Inc . He added that  he did not charge the new device and returned it to the seller.

It will recalled that Apple’s arch-rival, Samsung suffered a similar faith in 2016 when its Galaxy Note 7 had a battery issue and the devices were blowing up and catching fire during charge. The company had to recalled the products in affected markets in October few month after its launch declaring the product a “horrible failure”.

Apple might be forced to go the way of Samsung’s experience with Galaxy Note 7, to recall its latest product if the spate of the ”bulging tummies and splitting bowels” isn’t arrested.
