Tomi Ogunlesi Becomes Group Head, Marketing and Communications at Interswitch
Interswitch, an electronic payment and digital commerce solutions company has promoted Tomi Ogunlesi to the position of Group Head, Marketing and Communications. Until his promotion, he was the Head of Corporate Communications of the company.
Ogunlesi has been with Interswicth since 2015 and his new role is to provide marketing and communications leadership for Interswitch’s Masterbrand and corporate/B2B Sector (2 business lines – Payment Processing & Industry Verticals), with broadened responsibility for delivering brand equity, market share and return-on-marketing-investment (ROMI) through brand and product marketing/communications strategy and execution, and primary accountability to Group Chief Marketing & Communications Officer.
He has over 12 years experience in strategic brand building, business development and marketing, and has established himself as one of West Africa’s finest Corporate Communications’ experts.
He holds an MBA from the Lagos Business School, in addition to having completed high-level executive programmes in Marketing and Strategy both at the Wits Business School, Johannesburg and the Judge Business School, Cambridge respectively. He also attended Vega, The Brand Communications School for the A-Z of Branding Certificate, as well as a short stint at The Jupiter Drawing Room & Partners in Johannesburg, immediately after completing the Product Strategy & Brand Management at the Wits Business School.
Ogunlesi has designed and implemented marketing and communication campaigns that help communicate brand value and move markets, while working for companies like Volcano Advertising, The Jupiter Drawing Room & Partners, Promisador, Bates Cosse, First Bank of Nigeria, amongst others.
