CSR: Chipper Cash Supports Lagos Food Bank to Reach Vulnerable Families
With the 2020 Statistics revealing that about 11 million children under 5 are facing extreme hunger, Chipper Cash recently partnered Lagos Food Bank to bring aid to many families in need with Chipper Relief Box.
The Lagos Food Bank is one the biggest NGOs in Nigeria supporting the less privileged, and the Covid-19 pandemic has put an enormous amount of pressure on the already strained food systems.
“Millions of children living in fragile, and conflict-affected regions are facing the threat of hunger and malnutrition daily, Biodun Animashaun, Chipper Country manager said. It is important for us to act now to save these children and safeguard their futures.
“We partnered with Lagos Food Bank to reach out to the people who need help the most in our society. We delivered the Chipper Relief Box to families in Lagos. We want to thank the Foodbank team and the volunteers who made this outreach successful. #zerohunger #Feedthepeople #LagosFoodBank”
“The more Covid-19 affects our world the more important it is to lend a hand where you can. Many families continue to be seriously affected by the financial impact of Covid-19, he concluded.
